Rip as One instruction needed

How do I select a few tracks in 'Rip as 1'? I'd like to keep the 5 movements of one piece together and the 3 movements of another piece together. 'Rip as 1' brings up Start and End LBA options which I don't understand. I see there is a linear bar which changes from blue to grey when I click on it but I don't know what the resultant numbers mean. Perhaps I need to do something before I get to that point.

Click the mouse in the scale - left button for start and right button for end.
