Using Additional Tags In Media Players?

    Hi

I'm about 20 discs into converting about 4000 or so CDs into FLAC using this marvellous bit of software (dbpoweramp). I have been adding an additional tag with each rip named "Original Year", my intention to have this show the original year that the material was first released regardless of the edition year, which I populate using the standard "Year" tag.

My question is very simple; how do I get the "Original Year" tag I’ve created (or any self-created tag) to display and be functional in a media player? I am currently using Media Jukebox, but it refuses to acknowledge, or display the field at all?

There is probably an incredibly straightforward answer to this, but I can't seem to find any info anywhere?

    Many anticipatory thanks!

If you right click on the audio file >> Edit Tags, if you new tag shows then your tag is in the file and your question would be better placed on the MJ forum.
