    Batch MP3 - WAV Normalized?

Before burning an audio CD I prefer to convert the mp3 files to wav. What I would like to know is how do I do this but making all the files the same volume.

    Thanks

Most programs nowadays that will burn standard audio CDs will do the convrsion from mp3 to wav automatically. You can volume normalize your mp3 files (or make volume normalized copies) using either Mp3Gain or using dBpoweramp music converter's volume normalize DSP.

I hope this is helpfful. If you need further specifics, please let us know.

    Best wishes,
    Bill

      Hello Bill

Thanks for the speedy reply. I must be doing something wrong. I'd tried the Volume Normalize DSP but each track differs in volume. Any suggestions on settings please? Many thanks

      David

Re: Batch MP3 - WAV Normalized?

I use the ReplayGain (track gain) option at the default setting and I have not had any problems.

This is different from using the ReplayGain DSP in that the ReplayGain DSP only applies the gain when you are plating through a player that can read ReplayGain tag information. The ReplayGain option in the Volume Normalize DSP applies the difference to the track so that it will be applied whenever the track gets played.

It may be the case that if you have very drastic differences in the volume of your tracks that you may need to play around with the settings a bit, but I have not needed to do so with this option.

        Best wishes,
        Bill
