CDA is not a format - it's just the way your computer references links to physical track locations on a CD.

To burn music to a CD, use a program like iTunes or Windows Media Player to burn an "audio CD". This lays the music down in conventional format rather than simply copying files.

When you burn audio CDs you are limited by time (80 minutes usually) rather than space (700MB).
