    Check for updates?

I am a registered R13 reference user. When I use dB configuration to "check for updates" it says "update to release 12.4." I uninstalled and re-installed the latest R13 download and went back to dB configuration and did "check for updates". It still says "update to release 12.4".

How do I check what version I have installed? How do I find out what version I am downloading? Is there a changelog to determine if downloading a new version is worth my while? (i.e. it wouldn't be worth my while to install a new version that has nothing but 64-bit updates for my 32-bit system).

The main page hasn't been updated to say r13, it should be updated by Monday, I believe Spoon said. In dBpoweramp Configuration, it says your version. The changelog is in the main dMC help file.

      Thanks for the response...

That doesn't really look like a changelog. Basically what I am looking for is something like this thread: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthre...t=14158&page=2

I was able to go to the R13 Alpha thread to check for updates and see the changes and determine if I need to re-install based on the updates. R13 Alpha had updates every week or two. I assume that since R13 final is in it's infancy, it will still have some fairly frequent updates.

If I am looking at the changelog you mentioned (start>programs>dMC>Help>dMC Help), I can only view that after re-installation. It also doesn't appear to give any specific information about updates. Maybe I'm still looking in the wrong place.

        Re: Check for updates?

My fault. The changes are access from the "Version Changes" link on the webpage for dMC. Direct link is http://www.dbpoweramp.com/Version-Changes-DMC.htm

Also, r13 final means it won't be updated itself, updates will go towards r13.1.

Where is DBPA Configuration located at? I have opened everything I can find to open and I can't find Configuration anywhere, nor can I find anything about what version or revision I am using?

Are updates free if one bought DBPA Reference?

You need to find the dBpowerAMP Configuration shortcut on the Start Menu.

Minor updates to a version i.e. 13.1, 13.2, 13.3 are free but you will need to pay a small fee to upgrade a new version i.e. 14.0

Thanks for the reply Wayne. That pointed me to it, I was looking for it inside the main ripping program. Guess it makes sense to have it outside because it is basically a bunch of separate special programs. I have version 13.0. It says that 13.1 versions are available for some features.
