    Network Drives & dB

How do I stop dBpoweramp from scanning files that are located on network drives. I really like the integrated shell info, but NOT when it's slowing down my network AND I'm unable to delete files on my network drive because dB is reading them.

OK, found out more info. If I could exclude .mp4 extensions, then I won't have any problems. dB is trying to scan my movie files & is bogging down my network. Any ideas on how to?

Not easily, I think there is a program which allows you to set which programs have shell extensions for certain file types (sorry I forgot the name).

Might have found the problem you wanted: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html
Find "dMCIShell Class", right click on it, go to properties, and remove the undesired exentions, in your case .mp4 and .m4a. You may have to reboot for the changes to take effect.
Then do the same for dBpShell Class, both entries for it.

Edit: Nevermind, apparently the extension list is Read-Only.

Edit2: Might have found a way to manually remove dMC from certain extensions, but it involves manually editing the registry and has not been tested by me, I am just theorizing.
BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY BEFORE DOING ANYTHING! BE VERY CAREFUL!
Now, go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.m4a\shel lex\and try removing the folders under Context for dMC, reboot, see if that helps. Of course, if you have other extensions, replace the ".m4a" with that extension.
