saving to directory compilations instead of various artists

I'm trying to have my rips save to a subdirectory called "compilations" instead of "various artists" when ripping a compilation disk. The metadata shows "various artists" when ripping with the correct individual artists for each track, and the resulting rip using the following setting puts the album in a folder under "various artists". What am I missing in this string that would instead put the album under the folder "compilations". Thanks.

    [PHP][IFCOMP][IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],Compilations[]\[album][IFMULTI] Disc [disc][]\[track]-[title]-[album]-[artist][][IF!COMP][IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[artist][]\[album]\[track]-[title]-[album][IFMULTI] Disc [disc][]-[artist] [][/PHP]

It looks like all of your "\" got stripped out of your posts, so I will just put the part you want removed. Change "[IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],Compilations[]" to just "Compilations".

Spoon, I'm about to rip my compiiation discs, and I read the dynamic above for putting them all under a 'compilation' folder. 2 questions?
          1. Is there a way to put all compilation cd's made by the same person, label etc. in the same folder? For instance, Verve label has many Verve REmixed cds, it'd be great to have them all under a folder named 'Verve'. And for instance, I have several demo cd's that I'd like under a 'Demo' foler?

          And 2. I presently have a simple string, [artist]\[album]\[title]\
I like this, having my library arranged this way. Does the long string above retain this string in just regular cds? If not, is there a way to configure a string to do this?

          Thanks Spoon,
          Chris

The new naming for R14 is:

            [IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[IFCOMP]Various Artists[][IF!COMP][artist][][]\[album]\[track] [artist] - [title]

Unless you have a Label tag it is not possible to group by labels.

Re: saving to directory compilations instead of various artists

I made a separate Profile for Compilations with the string you suggested Spoon. The folder that is holding the compilation albums, is called

              Various Artists[artists]

Can I change this name to a name like "Compilations and Demo's"?

Thanks, the string otherwise works great!

I just tried it Spoon, works great except '[artist]' is still being shown underneath 'Compilations And Demos'. Is this normal? Anyway to make it only 'Compilations And Demos'? If not, no biggie.

                        [IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[IFCOMP]Compilations & Demos[][IFCOMP][artists][][]\[album]\[track] [artist] - [title]

Sorry I meant the actual filename, ie:

                          C:\somepath\afile.flac

This is the filename for the networked computer that holds the AIFF files:

                            \\Player-computer\audioman99\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Automatically Add to iTunes\
The ext drive is the storage flac files:
                            G:\\Hitachi Archival Music

There should be no artist folder below Compilations & Demos
