Re: Map "compilations" tag to ITUNESCOMPILATION tag
You would have to look in a hex editor at the tag section to see the differences.

Re: Map "compilations" tag to ITUNESCOMPILATION tag
I spoke too soon. dbpoweramp does indeed map from "compilation" to "ITUNESCOMPILATION" when I set this up, and MP3TAG shows that both fields have a "1" in them when a compilation disk. However, when importing the files into ITUNES, ITUNES does not pick up that this is a compilation. What is odd to me is that if I use an "action" in MP3TAG to assign the value of "compilation" to ITUNESCOMPILATION, ITUNES does in fact recognize this and treat the song as part of a compilation. I know that ITUNES is odd about dealing with certain tags/fields, but still seems odd that the same field written by dbpoweramp and mp3tag work quite differently.Leave a comment:

Works perfectly. I didn't realize that I could simply enter the names in that box for tags that don't show up in the dropdown menu. thanks!Leave a comment:

Yes, you can use the ID Tag Processing DSP to do this. You can type in the box where you choose the destination tag and should be able to put "ITUNESCOMPILATION" into the box.Leave a comment:

Map "compilations" tag to ITUNESCOMPILATION tag
I'm Using 12.4 Reference ver. registered. When converting FLAC files ripped with dbpoweramp to Lame MP3 files, I'd like to be able to map the "compilations" tag value to the tag field "ITUNESCOMPILATION" using the DSP effect "ID TAG PROCESSING". I"ve tried this and doesn't seem to work as the "ITUNESCOMPILATION" is not a choice in the map to field.
In contract, I can use an action in MP3TAG to copy the value within "COMPILATION" to a field called "ITUNESCOMPILATION" and after importing the file into ITUNES, the compilation identifier is handled correctly.
Any way of doing this within the dbpoweramp converter using ID TAG PROCESSING DSP? Thanks.Last edited by garym; January 27, 2008, 03:40 PM.Tags: None
