How do I get an answer?

I have been a paying user of db for a half dozen years. It is all out of sync now. One thing tells me to install this and another tells me to install that. I used to be able to assign all of my audio files to the player...no more...I used to be able to convert all audio files...no more...has anyone written a concise guide? I truly don't want to move on to another software but it is a bit frustrating. I am a professional musician and an avid collector of sound...just could use some help here as I have a very busy life and I used to be able to just update db and all would be well...hmmm.

    thanks

Uninstall all then get dap (audio player) working first, installing any codecs from legacy codec central.

Then install R12 music converter (if needed) to a different folder, and any codecs to the same different folder.

Thanks...when you say uninstall all...does that mean the codecs too? Should this be total reinstall....

Yes codecs, as latest codecs are or R12 only.

Which version of the player shall I get now that I have uninstalled everything?

Then I will get the codecs....the converter (re-register) and the codecs for it...

Thanks so much for your help.

Install dAP and dMC r12 to separate directories as stated here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/legacy-compatibility.htm

Also, dAP needs codecs from Legacy Codec Central and dMC r12 was codecs from the man Codec Central.

I recommend getting the dAP r3 beta from the link below.

Spoon had me uninstall everything...so I have little idea of what I had before...I cleaned it all out for a reinstall

Whoops, forgotten that I had removed the dAP beta link from my signature, it is now back in it. Sorry for the confusion.
