I've been upsampling or resampling my audio files for my dvd audio projects. My files are from original cds and some WMA lossless, mp3 files. I assumed that resampling to 96khz 24 bit will enhance the quality but I just read an article that I'm losing quality when I perform this action. What is the best way to enhance my files so I can import into my dvd audio program? What is the best way (codec) to rip my cds to 96/24 so I can import to Dvd Audio Solo?

No nothing can enhance the quality. Converting with 'professional frequency conversion' enabled will preseve as much qualtity as possible when converting to a format to import to dvd. -

In your opinion, which codec will satisfy you if you were ripping cds and then encoding to 96/24...WMA lossless,FLAC, or WAV?Comment

Re: Dvd Audio authoring
IIRC, DVD Audio Solo, and the DVD-Audio standard in general supports 16-bit, 44.1kHz [standard audio cd] files, so upconverting to 24bit should not be necessary. Upconverting will not enhance quality and will only make the files larger, thus allowing less music to fit on the DVD itself.Comment

Re: Dvd Audio authoring -how to put audio on DVDs
HI Spoon, great thread here and you da man!
I have tried ripping few .mp3 and .wav songs onto my dvd ( no good)so I can have plenty songs in one dvd rather than to have many CDs -so as to play in my car dvd player.
How do I do that? What is the best program, optimal KHz, speed, bitrate, etc? Do I need special CODECs to hear in my car? I am using a dell optiplex PC with DVD burner. Please advice, in detail if possible.
Thank You.
