AC3 5.1 Surround to FhG MP3 Surround

Hello, how do I convert/transcode an .AC3 5.1 file to MP3 Surround?

I've downloaded and installed the DirectShow filter for db as well as AC3filter 1.45b But no such luck, it just crashes when encoding/decoding (i dunno)

PS: Is the FhG mp3 encoder the latest (1.4) as the CLI encoder available on all4mp3.com

So you have "MP3 Surround" in the codec drop-down menu?

The Fraunhofer mp3 encoder in R12 will encode to surround. Encode the ac3 to wave with channels [as source] to check that 5.1 is coming out.
