Use the "ID Tag Update" utility codec, pick the "Manipulation" tab and select "Import album art from folder.jpg" and make sure your album art is named "folder.jpg".

      I'm new to DMC...

How do you get art and tag it to an .mp3 file? Other rippers do this by automatically searching and downloading from Amazon et al. Does DMC doe this?

      Gacias.

No, dMC does not do this currently. I believe an advanced tagger is planned for r13 that will pull down album art from AMG or other professional services instead of pulling the art off of a site like amazon.

No, act like you are converting the files as usual, but for the codec choose "[ID Tag Update]". You should now see 4 tabs in the area where you normally select the compression options.
