What is your naming convention for CLASSICAL music?

The same issue comes up with the iPod. Pop music is artist centered, but (at least for me) classical is composer centered.

How do you organize your CD rips, and how do you set up dBpower amp to support that arrangement. What naming string do you use??

    thanks,

It sounds like you want something like where the composer is mapped to artist and the performer is mapped to something-else, correct?

I force composer as the main folder followed by the title or equivalent work catalog number (BWV). For track name I sometimes include the "artist" (i.e. performer of the work) at the end. It is silly that composer is demoted beneath performer--it's a bit like calling a work by its translator rather than author.
