Just upgraded to the latest converter and now I can't seem to get it to right-click and have convert be one of the options. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

Re: How do I get Windows XP to let me right-click to convert?
I'm seeing a recurring theme in some threads, and it seems that the uninstall of the previous version is not complete. Maybe someone can suggest a utility that will totally uninstall an application including all registry references. I can think of several instances where an app of this sort would have come in handy.Comment

The "Convert To" on right-click is always a little touchy, it seems. Also, a total uninstall would just be deleting the "Illustrate" key in the registry and any files left in the \dBpoweramp directory after the normal uninstall is ran.
Also, as I suggested to jddirector in another thread:
Uncheck the option, restart, check the option, restart, and check to see if it works now.Comment

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried it and even when I unchecked it, when I started up again, it was still checked. Did this about 3 times but no go.Originally posted by LtDataThe "Convert To" on right-click is always a little touchy, it seems. Re: How do I get Windows XP to let me right-click to convert?
Well, I've restarted my machine now about 6 times, alternating with the boxed checked on and off (this time it stays), still to no avail. I know that in the grand scheme of things, who cares, but . . . it is a very handy feature for a program I use almost constantly (in the middle of converting to burn about 20,000 files: flac, wma, mp3, etc.). So . . . while it won't stop me from using db poweramp converter in this iteration, still seems like a bug to me. Any help is always appreciated.Originally posted by jddirectorYep.Comment

We are going to look into this, there have been a few other reports, basically:
if you manually map and extension to a program with windows set default program, then it sometimes will not show,
other programs which install a right click menu item can cause clashes.Comment

Thanks so much for looking into this. I know it's just a minor annoyance or bug, if it is indeed a bug, but it's a very handy thing to have. In the meantime, I guess I'll just uninstall 12 and reinstall 11.5 and see if that works.Comment
