What settings can I use to convert a wave file under 1000kbs?

under 1MB? Try a mp3 file at 64kbps or lower. Just realize that the quality of said file will be next to trash.

      Re: Version 11.5

I have the older version 9 on the dbpoweramp converter.
I was able to convert a mps file in the size of 7000kbs and shrink it to a size under1000kbs. I used the settings: mpeg layer3 16bits 11,025hz.
My question with this new version 11.5 How can I shrink the file to be under 1000kbs. This new version does not even have this mpeg layer3 on it.
Any help would be so appreciated.

Are you referring to a compressed WAV using MPEG Layer-III? You need the .acm codec in order to do this. I forget offhand where you get it, but I'm sure someone else knows.

            See:

            A. You need to install a mp3 ACM codec to replace it: Download Lame.mp3 encoder here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codecs/lameACM.zip unzip it right click the mouse on the file 'lameACM' .inf or 'Setup Information' and select 'Install', now reboot the computer and the option to create Mp3 files should now be present on
