    24 bit audio

Hello, Most of my songs are in 2 formats:
    320kbit,
    44100Hz Joint Stereo (mp3)
    and
    Max bitrate : 350 kbps
    Sampling rate: 48000 Hz (ogg)

I am wondering, if i have to do any extra work to convert my songs to 24bit audio. I am wondering since i just bought a 24bit sound card and want to get the best out of it

    Re: 24 bit audio

Mp3 is a lossy codec - that is it can decode to any bit depth (even 24 bit), but I really doubt if you could hear the difference between a 16 bit decoded mp3 and 24 bit decoded mp3.

Why would you resample to 48khz?

All you have to do is make sure your mp3/vorbis decoders are set to output to 24bit.

      - It's just my opinion: if it doesn't support ogg vorbis, its junk!
