First, I assume you have already installed dBpowerAMP Music converter. Next, install the top Codec on this page: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-mp4.htm
Then, to convert to mp3 you need either an unexpired trial or a registered version of dMC to convert to mp3. Then just right-click on the file and Select "Convert To" or launch dMC from the start menu folder and browse to your file. Select mp3, select your bitrate, and select Convert.
Most of this basic stuff is convered in dMC's help file
I'm having the same problem. Except i'm not allowed to install dBpowerAMP Music converter as i'm using a library computer.
If i post a link here, would a kind somebody be willing to convert my .m4a files to mp3, please???
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

You need to be an administrator on the account to install dBpowerAMP programs.
Also the files to be converted have to present on the computer, they cannot be on the internet.
ok. but what i meant was that if i uploaded the .m4a files on a website like rapidshare would anyone be kind enough to download them, convert to mp3 then upload them for me. Sorry if i sound a bit confusing... i just really need help lol.
