Re: id tag creation
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm At the bottom, try the "Tag from Filename" utility codec. Note that it requires either a PowerPack trial or a registered PowerPack. -

Re: id tag creation
that utility worked perfectly thanks a lot! however one more question, is there by anychance a program that can download the track names from the internet and do this? j/w cuz i have over 900 songs and its gonna take a while to do all these :p
edit ---- i found a program called audio tags editor 1.9 and it said it worked with freedb but it doesnt work right. i just want one that will take the song name and band, and find the album name track number and genre, thats all, thanks again! :smile2:Last edited by brian10161; December 03, 2005, 11:23 PM.Comment

Re: id tag creation
There are many programs that do this. One that I use is called "The Godfather". However, it works best with albums, and you search for the album by artist and album, but have to choose the correct album from a list and double-checking the results in the preview window, but then it pulls the tags and applies them to your files and even renames them if you want. Also, it does not support wma files, but does support almost anything else you can think of: mp3/ogg/mpc/ape/flac/aac/apl/wv/mp4/ofr/spx.
The website is here: http://users.otenet.gr/~jtcliper/tgf/
And yes, its freeComment
