is data corrupt or just not burnt properly

hey evrybody,,guess whose back??lol
bascially one of my ps2 games has stopped working.....well it works 1/10 chance of it working and when it does it takes times to load.it hasnt always been like this becuase it used to work fine a few days ago.i mean perfectly!

so i just wanted to ask that if i copied all the files from the ps2 game into my pc and turned them into an image file , then burned the image on to a new dvd r, will there be a chance of the game working or is the data in the dvd corrupt and will always be no matter how many new dvds i make??

If your wanting help with copying copy-protected games, you will have to go elsewhere. Sorry.
