    good headphones

Does anyone know of good headphones that are realtively cheap (as in less than $60), sound good, and don't hurt your ears from wearing them too long? All i have are some cheap sony ones, sound good but the base is tiny.

    Re: good headphones

I just got these and they're over-the-ear and plenty comfortable to wear: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Koss-...oductDetail.do
They're about $30 at CircuitCity, but I'm sure you could find them elsewhere.
And they sound fine to me, have decent bass, way better than the ones I had before (Logitech headset).

60 dollars? Um....You won't get anything good with that, trust me.... And all audiophiles know it. 60 dollars won't get you much for a good decent soundstage imitative sound....(ok that didn't sound right, but hopefully you get my drift)

The only drift I get Neil is that you're somebody who's more impressed with the price of something rather than basing your assessment on personal experience, not to mention actual need. There's a term for this, but I won't say it.

indeed it is all about the personal experience... I have a few headphones and they aren't too expensive, for one JVC HAC D7 IF that I bought for my flash player... they have good sound and are easy to carry... were about 15euro or something like that...

and it is always a question will you hear the difference that an audiophile will hear? not everyone has a perfect ear, and not everyone listen so carefully...

I think I am leaning towards the koss...

They have decent reviews for their price, the only complaint i read was on higher pitched noises. Did you have that problem?

The grado ones are a bit pricey, and if i would spend that much i would rather spend a little more and get good ones...

All i really want are some cheap, realatively good sounding headphones that i wont really care if they get stolen.

              Thanks for all the suggestitions!

They do sound a little more bright on the highs then my previous headphones did, but apparently I've just gotten used to it. It sounds fine to me.

                  My decision: Sennheiser PX-200.

These headphones are wonderfull. They have a great bass, middle , and high.

Also very comfortable and dont cost to much (50$)!

I compared these to my friends $400 headphones, yeah, there was a difference, but not much!
                  So i would recommend these.
