Not sure how to use this "AVI" splitter

Here is an open source program that says it's an AVI splitter

The extension of the files are all .ax . I don't know how to use files with an extension of .ax on Windows XP.......:confused:

Isn't that extension for audio tracks of some computer game like FIFA or something like that?
