    flac error found non-standard 'fmt ' sub-chunk which has length = 20

    new to this group

    using flac on linux

    works great on wav files ripped from cd but get this error when creating wav files from vinyl and tape (using audacity)

    any idea what is going on and how to deal with this

    Can you test-convert the wav file? Choose "Test Conversion (No Write)" as your codec. If this fails, then dMC cannot read your source file.

    Is the wav file compressed?
