I saw this site http://www.dotworlds.net which is giving away free domains like .cool,.sexy, .music and few others.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried this site b4?
Can u suggest any other sites also

One word of caution: I think all those domains acquired in this manner will display your web site in a frameset, with lots of ads tacked on - probably tailored to the tld.

But you can always get a domain name cheaply from www.godaddy.com (from $4.95/year for .us/.biz to $8.95/year for .com/.net/.org).

You'll of course also need to acquire web hosting to go with a domain name.

Free web hosting generally doesn't permit media files to be downloaded or streamed off their servers (i.e.www.netfirms.com). Also the space is very limited (25MB at most).

You can get inexpensive full featured web hosting (500MB) for as low as $29.95/year at www.solidinternet.com .

Did You try http://www.coolpage.com. It is completely free.
There are no ads other than a small ad of coolpage which says you can download coolpage webpage maker.

www.cjb.net is pretty good ... I used it for a while... also gives email accounts... has a few ads though, but opera ignores them and so does firefox adn mozila (I think)... also forwards subdomains, and urls...

Actually there is no ads or banners which comes with it far as i can see.

Other free domains that I've seen like that did have their share of ads and banners and pop-ups and pop-unders.

Likewise for free hosting.

Here is an interesting host that I found. I just don't have the guts to try them out.
