    Best value mp3 player

I would like to purchase an mp3 player. Which one would recommend as a Best Value? Quality/storage size and sound quality at the best price?

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
Probably not what you'd like or expect to hear, but here's my 2-cents: an mp3 walkman type of player, that plays both regular audio cds and mp3 cds. It's cheapest and it fulfils both functions. The brand isn't all that important, your headphones are. They usually come with crap headphones anyway, so you'll have to invest in something better right from the start.

Having experienced the total and irreversible destruction by my teen-aged kids of 3 different mp3 players costing $200-$300 each, that had been bought on advice (or against, depending on view-point) or just plain hype, a simple cd mp3 player costing $50 at Costco or some such store is by far more attractive.

I'd actually opt for installing an mp3 cd player in my car if I had to make the choice now, instead of a cd-changer - but that will have to be for the next car down the road.
