CD Ripper Why?

My Pc is already new 1 year ago and no longer carries the CD drive, as today are no longer used because everything can be downloaded legally on the internet. I want to buy dbpoweramb music converter, but is it necessary to buy the CD Ripper when you don't have a CD drive? Is there any way to get just the dbpoweramp music converter without the CD Ripper?
