well it is mostly in "general" forum... maybe developer would be also apropriate

Could there be a spoon installer 'patch' maker, that could add bits tofiles, rather than remaking them?

well you can always duplicate the project and then just remove the files that aren't changed... then the new install will overwright the old one with the new files... I think this would work

All I can say is development of Spoon installer is very slow (it does everything I need of it).

I didn't have any problems either... all the basic stuff is there... for the really big projects only solution is a program like InstallShield... or writing your own...
