    Need a "special" software..

Ok, I'm guessing I shouldn't be asking this here but..

Anybody know of a CD Audio Ripper that will rip using analog?

I have 2 discs which I absolutely need to rescue and I've tried dBpowerAmp and EAC and both give me crapstatic results. dBpowerAmp gives me clicks and pop hell, and EAC has not finished extracting the first track after 48 hours, and burst mode just gives a totally unbearable result, yet, if I play the CD as analog, it sounds ok. So all I need is an analog extractor and I should be able to save the discs, anybody knows what out there?

And yeah I know I could use a loop back wire from the speaker out to my line-in on the soundcard, but I was hoping to avoid that. Can anybody help?

Connect headphone out on a stereo to line in, should be fine.

Well, it was a so-so experiment. Playing the disc in my car is fine, no skips or anything, but in the computer, gosh! It's skip galore and it even stops playing for like 25 seconds half way through. So unless I find a way to bring my car stereo in my house and plug it on my computer, I guess I'm stuck.

But then, I just heard that a store near here may offer CD polishing service, maybe that would work, it's worth a shot if nothing does it.

Oh yes there's plenty of scratches.. It's not an old CD, but it's a CD someone borrowed from me and "forgot" it in his car, out of the jewel case :vmad: :vmad: :vmad:

You can rest assured he's not going to borrow an original CD from me ever again! :vmad: :vmad: :vmad:
