    DirectX vs. Waveout

    Which one is truely better, I've heard arguements on both sides. Which do you use most and why?

      I use DirectX... it is more resistant to those cracling noises I sometimes get when I use the modem or the CD... And it doesn't touch the 'wave ' section in volume control (which is sometimes important for me).
      It is also a bit quiter (not on the positive, not on the negative side, just a comment).
