WAV files from Qobuz are slow to finalize.

I have purchased some WAV downloads from Qobuz that, after tagging, seem to take an unusually long time to finish after clicking "OK". In the past WAV tag finalization has been a very short process. It seems that WAV files from Qobuz act more like FLAC files which take longer to finalize, I'm assuming, because they are embedded.

Did eMail Qobuz who suggested I ask here if anyone has noticed this issue.

    Confused. Rich

In dBpoweramp Control Center > Audio Codecs > List/Options > Wave ID Tagging
there are several options. What options do you have set?

Perhaps the qobuz wav files are not padded so, when tags are edited, the whole file needs re-writing.

      mville:
The problem is not WAV tagging in general. Only Qobuz WAV files seem to take longer for the window to close after clicking OK. All other WAV files I tag on a regular basis finish within a second or two.

      Still Confused. Rich

They might have an existing tag which is at the front of the file, which when removed requires the whole file to rewrite.
