    irc chat dbpoweramp

I don't know much about this, but created a channel: irc.freenode.net:6667 channel #dbpoweramp
or log on here: ******** and select "dbpoweramp" from the drop down menu.

or download an easy to use irc clent form here: http://www.xircon.com
or x-chat for windows here: http://www.xchat.org/files/binary/win32/
or x-chat for linux here: http://www.xchat.org/download/

there is no bot to keep it alive so it is there when it's there i guess. anyhow i am there at the moment to see how it works.

    /edit update

i have removed the link here as it is no longer associated with the dbpoweramp forums here. i have also unstuck the thread.

              Re: irc chat dbpoweramp

if you look at your java script consol in opera i get an error:

              Unknown context
Syntax error while loading (line 1)
              <
              --^

opera might have a problem by not being able to open a new window when you click to connect.

                Re: irc chat dbpoweramp

i had another look and it seems that opera very quickly shows the pop applet loading then dissapears. you need to be able to accept the applet security certificate. it seems to work fine in IE6 and firebird.

Yeah, Opera has a lot of problem with java aplets... I think it was made to be as safe as possible or something like that....

                    True.
Just an hour ago I booted up my other computer (don't have Opera on it) and it turned out I had just gotten the RealPHX virus from IE. Such a secure browser...

it is spread all around, most of the beginers use it...(plus the microsoft is always in a hurry).... ideal for virus writers :(

update: added new URL for web chat interface. http://www.razgo.com/chat/chat4.html

it's not for official support, but still a great way to chat and well do things in real time
