Confused with the "Rating" field / tag

    Hello.

    Im a little confused............

Using Windows 10, and if i right click on a flac file and select properties..............

Under DETAILS (normal windows 10 details) it shows the rating as none / empty (no stars).
If i select dBpoweramps AUDIO PROPERTIES" it says the rating is 4.
And if i select dBpoweramps ID-TAG it then says the rating is 2.

So i get 3 different rating values ?!
Which is the correct one ?
And why are they all different ?

Thanks in advance for any info.........

Not sure, but it will be helpful for others if you tell us what type of files (FLAC, mp3, AAC, etc.) and what tag type you are using (Vorbis Comments, ID3, etc.)

OK. if you ripped the flac with dbpa, then the tag type is VORBIS COMMENTS. I'm not suprised that windows properties doesn't correctly show things, but I am surprised that both dbpa reports two different ratings. I can't help on this but hopefully SPOON or someone can respond.

          Hi Rusty,

I do not use RATING for my FLACs, and the 5 STARS appears as 'unrated':
