Re: Windows Media Player vs. Foobar/dBpa/VLC/Groove-Music

Hi, I have set my FLAC music files to open with foobar. All of the icons changed to a foobar symbol. Before, these were black&white; but now they have changes to red&black:

Does this look correct though, please? Thanks.

red (orangeish) and black are correct for FLAC files.

Just click once on the heading title (where it says Artist) and it will change sort order. This works for all the title headings (genre, album, etc.) as far as I know.

Cheers Gary. I am sure it was black&white on my work PC though?! Paul

            That's great. Sorted now.

won't hurt anything. But you're probably confusing the program icon (black and white) with the file icons.

It is interesting to me that you even use that ARTIST list to do anything. For me, once I set up the facets that have codec, genre, album artist, title, etc. in the upper boxes (toward the right), I only use that to navigate, search etc. I never use the ARTIST or ALBUM view on that upper left box (I only ever use the playlist view there). But there are many ways to use foobar.

Hi Gary, Well I have not experimented with foobar as much as dBpa. I will, eventually, have to configure the former specifically to suit my needs as more and more rips are performed. At the moment, I am on dealing with 3/4 Artists. Paul
