mp3 cds i make cant play in mp3 cd player

whenever i make an mp3 cd it never plays on a mp3 cd player. i have a panasonic cd player that plays back mp3 cds
but i have never been able to create a cd to play in it
i have used up zillions of cds
please help me in this regard as i am utterly frustrated.
