"Registered" version says registration has expired

I installed 17.7 using my order number, and it downloaded a file called "dMC-R17.7-Ref-Registered.exe". When I run the installer, it appears to install but a popup appears saying that my registration has expired. Please help.

You must have a newer trial installed, first uninstall dBpoweramp, full restart of computer, then install the registered version.

Uninstalling and reinstalling worked. I'd have deleted or added to my post but I didn't have authority to do that.
