And just when I was feeling confident, I noticed that the album art does not show up on each individual track, only the one jpeg file at the end. ?
That's because you are not embedding the art (which you could also do if you want), only creating a single "folder.jpg" or "cover.jpg" file for each album (which puts a single file in the album folder). That is the way I do it as well (single file in album folder, and NOT embedding art). my music server/player uses this single file for every track in that album automatically. I think all modern servers/players do the same.

Actually, just ripped a few more non-compilation just regular artists, and it's doing it as well. It is now doing it only when ripping in FLAC, not AIFF

I'll see if I can figure out how to embed the art. But was is AIFF embedding and not FLAC?

You can embed art in flac. Have you looked at every single menu item in the cd rippper program as i previously suggested. Lots of options there. Tick albym art in id tags and metadata settings to embed art.

Yes, I have spent the time to go through all the instruction I can find as well as all the settings that I can find
I just went to where you are saying and in the settings under the "ID Tags" header, Album Art is already checked
Also, under the "Album Art" header, its set to Folder.jpg. Is this what I need to change?

Have you also ticked album art in this section (see pic). This is further down the page than the "album art" section at top where you indicate "folder.jpg". If this is ticked you should get embedded art.

Yes, Album Art is checked and was checked when ripping, but no embedded art on tracks in FLAC. There is in AIFF ripped CDs.

I've yet to test a server that requires embedded artwork, so where did you

How do you know there is no embedded art in the FLACs. What music player/server/library program are you looking at the files in to see that there is no artwork? Even the folder.jpg file should cause the files to be shown with album art. Maybe AIFF embedded artwork shows as an "icon" for the file in your file explorer and this may not be true for FLAC files (despite the fact that the art is in fact embedded).

Understand what you are saying. Was thinking the same thing. So when I rip in AIFF, the artwork in the files shows on all the tracks, not just the one jpg file at the end. When I rip in FLAC, artwork in the files does not show on any of the tracks, just the one jpg file at the end. The same exact settings under both rips. Again, was thinking the same as you that perhaps it is still embedded in FLAC but just not showing up. You noted that this is your way and that most modern players are good with this. So this is where not have the players set up and testing things comes in. I'm still not there on that yet. I thought that I built up enough confidence to re-start in FLAC without that in the beginning, but now this.

I still don't understand. Just WHERE EXACTLY are you seeing that the artwork is not embedded in the FLAC files. What program are you looking at the files in? I thought you hadn't set up a program for the music library yet?
edit: I'm 99.9% positive the embedded artwork is actually there but whatever you're looking at is not showing it. But what is it that you are looking at? Which program? Maybe show a screen shot?
