    what to use?

    hello everyone-
i've just finished ripping all my cd's using the dMC (which i love!) and i'm realizing that a few big folders of all my songs is no longer desirable.
i'm looking for a tool that will sort these files into a folder heirarchy (i.e. genre->artist->album->song) using either filename or tags.

    any suggestions?

    thanks,
    m

dAP's MMC can do just that. Just go through all your songs, make sure the tags are fine, and then, in MMC select COLLECTION / MUSIC COLLECTION / ARRANGE FILES..

Tell MMC the base directory where you want your files moved to, set the folder hierarchy/filename filter and click BEGIN.

I can't stress enough to make sure your tags are all verified and correct, or else you might end up with files in some really weird places or not be able to identify a song because there was a mistake in the track name tag.
