    Recommended (Optimal) album art size?

Im using 1000x1000 for all of my rips. However, before I keep moving on, I want to ask, is 1000x1000 good enough?

I find a bunch of my album arts on amazon at 1500x1500 so I just resize them to 1000x1000. For my scans, after scanned I also resize them to 1000x1000.

It was funny to find that my first HDTracks purchase included album art at 1400x1400. I expected a high quality picture, but honestly not something that could be a wallpaper :p

My question is, should I start considering increasing my album art size from 1000x1000 to 1500x1500?

Reason why I kept it at 1000x1000 in first place is because I believed it was "right on the spot" for retina iPads, "perfect" for retina iPhones and because it would not cause incompatibility due to album art been too big (something spoon mentioned just a few weeks ago when I asked a related question).

Some players such as Sonos do not like if the art is very large, so 1000x1000 is a safe size to use.

I use 1200x1200 (assuming I can find it) because that's the iTunes high resolution standard, don't know if it's optimal though.
