Batch Ripper Meta Data Unavailable - Database source question

Need some advice:
I'm using a Kodak batch ripping robot with dbPA batch ripper. All has been great for over 2000 cds. Today I tried to rip a cd that is somewhat obscure (audio lecture) and none of the services find the meta data. I have plenty of unused credits. I then tried the same CD in iTunes and all the meta data shows up fine. I also tried RealPlayer - same, all the data shows up. In Windows Media player, no meta data. Both iTunes and Real seem to use Gracenote. I thought Gracenote and freedb were linked? True? I have about 150 cds from the same source so entering in the data manually is not ideal. All I'd like is the album name and artist. Nothing fancy.
Any advice?

Gracenote is no longer linked to freedb (not since 15 years). It is a commercial provider, like AMG or GD3.

I guess I'm a little behind. So, is there a way to access the Gracenote database from within dbPA? It appears that's the only source for meta data for the hundreds of CDs I'm ripping.

No there is no access to gracenote.

Yes, I did a little searching on the forum and found several discussions about that. Sorry for the post.

So, another option: can I rip these cds using batch ripper and only the meta data on the cd. Then import the entire library into iTunes and have it find the full meta data in Gracenote? Do you think that might work? I don't know how much data dbPA can pull from the cd so iTunes can do a search. Thoughts?

It appears that this lecturer only loaded the meta data to Gracenote (Argh!). I did a search on freedb and musicbrainz but found no data. I tried to search Gracenote but could not find a web search interface - it used to be there about 15 years ago :-). Guess they got too big to care.

Perhaps just rip those specific discs in iTunes?
