Should dbPoweramp include DSD file support?

DSD is starting to gain some traction as a high-end digital audio file format. DSD is the digital format used in the SACD. In recent years downloadable file formats have been released, and now most major DAC manufacturers are scrambling to include DSD support in their DACs using a protocol known as DoP.

didn't vote because I am neutral on this. I don't see myself replacing redbook CD versions I already have with DSD. I'm not even willing to replace things with newer 24/96 or 24/192 hirez versions. On the other hand, if it is easy to do on Spoon's end, I can't see how another option can hurt. But I'm guessing the user will need very special drives for reading these discs in order to rip. And it probably isn't that easy, because dbpa can't currently rip the 24/96 audio from DVDs (as far as I know). Maybe this is all because of DRM protection. Don't know....

The audio CD will go the way of 8-track tape some day.

I'm guessing Flash Drives will be the replacement. It's just a matter of media format and who owns the rights.
