I've just been introduced to the BWF audio format. I have almost 2TB of WAV format audio files on my computer and use M4A for my portable..
Having heard BWF for the first time, I'm astounded at the quality, considering the fantastic size reduction..
Is BWF considered 'Lossy' or 'Lossless', and apart from a drastic saving in space, would there be any other advantages of using this format over the standard WAV format. At least WMP reads the tags, which it doesn't with the standard WAV format...
When using my portable, I convert the WAV file to M4A, and I'm satisfied with the result..as my player won't play these BWF files (dispite the extension) I'll stay with it.
