Newbie question on which version of Windows (7 or 8) to get for use with DBpoweramp?

Looking to get a new desktop computer. Want to set up a wireless music system for the house (Sonos) and plan on using a NAS and DBpoweramp as the software to load the NAS with music files. I am an I-Tunes user but want to keep the I-Tunes system separate from the wireless system. I also have no experience ripping or as I-Tunes calls it "importing" music files from a CD except for using I-Tunes so I am very much a newbie at this.
Looking over the DBpoweramp web site as well as this forum I see that DBpoweramp can be used with Windows 7 but no information on Windows 8. When looking at pricing and info on buying a new desktop computer most companies are giving a buyer (as of now anyway) a choice of Windows 7 or 8. Which should I use? My current desktop is approx 8 years old and has Windows XP on it.
