    Asset UPnP - clueless

I am a long time DBpoweramp registered user, and am trying to get information on Asset UPnP. It appears from the very sketchy product description to enable me to play audio files throughout my home or on other devices. However, links I find to manuals refer to Windows Home Server. I do not have Windows Home Server. There is a download for a Windows 7 version, but no documentation. I'd appreciate a complete newbie guide/manual with information on what it does, how it does it, what devices it works with, how to set it up, etc, but I can't find that information. I have scanned through the Asset UPnP forum, but have not found this type of information. To be clear, I have a home network (wired and wireless) but I do not know what DLNA is or many of the other terms used in this product description. I am a very tech savvy computer and audio user, but have never looked into this aspect before.

    See:

Asset is the UPnP Server, it sends files to UPnP Renderers (players)

Thanks, Spoon. That link told me what I needed. Unfortunately, my current receiver is almost 3 years old and is the Onkyo model just below the one that supports DLNA. Oh well.

Hello, I have had asset up & working for a few days now, accessing via the Stream Magic 6 player from CA, controlled by the Stream Magic iPad app.

<snip> moved to Asset uPNP now that I can post new threads
