Total Newbie problem - no ID tags

So I just downloaded the trial version (v14.2) and tried loading a few CDs onto my hard drive in FLAC. I'm Getting no ID tags or artwork at all. Is the feature only available once I register?

    thanks

You see artwork and metadata in cd ripper before ripping?

If not your firewall is blocking dbpoweramp

Thanks for the reply... I do not see any artwork or metadata prior to ripping. Went into my Avast program and stopped every shield and still no luck. Any idea how to find out what's blocking it?

You would have to quit your security software. Also make sure that the network settings are correct (dBpoweramp Configuration), if you require a proxy server for your ISP (very unlikely these days), and make sure that 'Disable dBpoweramp From Accessing Internet' is not checked).

Thanks, but I'm still stymied. DBpoweramp settings seem correct. "Allow dBpoweramp to access internet" is checked. I don't use a proxy server. The only thing I haven't been able to try is completely turning off my Avast anti-virus - it won't let me kill it from either the UI or task manager.

not sure about AVAST in particular, but many AV programs still cause problems even when turned off (as they are not really off). In may cases they have to be uninstalled to actually be OFF. I can say that I have no issues with MSE (microsoft security essentials) running in both WIN7(64) and WinXP
