Hi Razgo, you've done a good job updating the forum, but it is definately running a lot slower than it used to. It's usually fine, haven't had anything as bad as you said, but this reply page took a good 15-20 seconds to load and I'm using a pretty darn fast internet connection :D

yes, it's running much faster as of now for me. must have been a network issue or something.

is it faster now for you paddy?

ok, i just changed a couple of settings. the one that seemed to make the forum faster for me now was dumping the search index and changing the maximum word length from 20 to 10 then rebuilt it the search index.

it is very fast now for me at the moment.

It is indeed, probably the fastest it's been since the upgrade.

                  Excellent work :D

it started to go slow again for me when making a reply and then when submitting it.

however i did something different this time and it has picked up speed again for me.

how is all going for everyone?

per Spoon's suggestion I turned off "similar thread" option also. as this causes a search whenever "post reply" or "submit reply occurs".

I then went into my user control panel and selected "standard toolbar" instead of the "wysisyg" tool bar option. and things are appearing to be a bit better for me now anyway.
