Converting WMA v. 10 to FLAC

How much is lost or distorted when converting wma v. 10 to FLAC?

Is it better to save and to use a wma file or to convert, ave and to use a FLAC file if optimum music quality is desired?

IF the WMA is WMA Lossless, then nothing is lost converting to FLAC as it is lossless also.

Thanks Spoon.....

Problem: Using dbPoweramp converter and setting this for coverting a FLAC format to wma 10 professional(lossless), the converted file comes up as (lossy). I do not understand why this would be lossy. Please explain.

What shows the file as lossy?, what is the bitrate of the file?
