problems using dbpoweramp if you are blind

Hi.
I hope this is the right section to post in, I am not really sure as I am new to the forum.

The reason I am writing is because as the subject says, there are several areas of dbpoweramp which are hard to use if you are blind.

I know anyone who is reading this at this point is thinking how do I use the program if I am blind.
Well the answer is that on my computer I have a program called a screen reader.
This program is able to read me any text that is on the screen with artificial speech, it allows me to brows the internet, use common microsoft packages, read and write e mail and do almost anything any sighted user can do on the computer, including access some parts of dbpoweramp.

So I am wondering, if the developers of dbpoweramp would be interested in addressing this issue, as I know of a few other blind people who use dbpoweramp.

I used to use exact audio copy until recently for ripping cds, however I then got a blu-ray drive and found it extremely slow to use with exact audio copy, whereas with dbpoweramp it works Fine. Unfortunately the developer of exact audio copy doesn't seem to respond to repeated attempts to contact him, or forum posts from a lot of users experiencing the same problem. so that's why I decided to try dbpoweramp, as that is exact audio copies main rival.

A lot of dbpoweramp is accessible with my screen reader, however the area which isn't very easy to access is the settings dialogue for cd ripping, because of the way it is structured.
Also, I believe some aspects of the recording features are not accessible either according to some posts on blindness related e mail lists that I have found.

I won't go into exact details on my opening post about the problems with the settings dialogue, but if any of the developers are interested in trying to make the program more screen reader friendly I am really happy to work with them and explain where the problems are.
as the settings on exact audio copy were fully accessible to my screen reader, its just the developer doesn't seem to want to talk to me or other users, and acknowledge the problem with blu-ray drives.

Thank you for your insights, I know which control is causing the issues for the screen reader, but is not possible for us to replace this control.

Unfortunately the problem is with most of the cd ripper settings dialogue, basically the problem is that it is not possible to tell what settings have been selected, for example
if you are changing the ripping mode, you can't find out with the screen reader what mode has been chosen, so if you are using burst mode or secure mode.

In the secure ripping settings, similar issues exist with not being able to tell what has been selected, these issues could be solved if the settings could make use of radio buttons, combo boxes, or checkboxes.

As it stands, it is possible to navigate through settings, but not determine the state of how controls and options are set in the cd ripper, for example if you wanted to change settings. If you are interested in working to address this, I am happy to help with testing new versions and offering advice about what does and doesn't work.
