Unable to rip some CD's

Having problems ripping some CD's, particularly Led Zeppelin CD's and some others distributed by Rhino Records. Whilst the CD tries to rip it goes extremely slow registering 0.1x speed. Are there protection issues with these particular CD's? Are there any fixes available?

The change of ripping speed whilst ripping is decided by the cd drive its self. Normally it is the drive having difficulty in reading the disc.
