    I'm learning....which sw do I need.

I just purchased a SB Touch, so I'd like to rip my CD collection (800+) to a HD on my computer. Here's some questions i could use help with.
I want the highest resolution most accurate ripping available, would that be FLAC?
Which dbpoweramp software do i want to purchase/use to get this done?
Will the software allow me to make playlists?
Is there any special hardware I need to add to my computer besides a larger HD that would give me the best sound?

    Thanks
    John

Any lossless codec would do, quality wise they are all the same.

There is a 'DSP effect' which would put the whole CD ripped as one playlist, currently individual tracks cannot be pooled to a playlist.
