I am planning to build a 6 or 8 bay cd ripping tower and I'm looking for recommendations for a case, internals (ie usb/firewire/esata bridge chips), and drives (modern/current/readily available with good+ audio extraction, no EOL/used/ebay stuff).
Ideally, I think, I would want to use esata (assuming reasonable costs), but I would be fine with separate dual usb/firewire bridges (each driving 3 or 4 readers).
(edit: I don't need or plan to use any robot type loaders, just hand loading/unloading)
This would be hooked up to my main rig (for now anyway), quad core, 4gig ram, x64 win7.
If you have or are planning to build something like this, I'd love to hear your experience and recommendations.
