    Newbie Asset Question

I'm sorry if this sounds really thick to those experts out there by I am new to some of this. I have just spent an hour pouring over threads, but I am none the wiser.

I have quite a large music and video collection and I am now considering streaming it whilst using the kit that I already have, namely a Windows XP Pro computer and an Archos 605 + Gen5 docking station. I know relatively little about UPnP, but I have managed to configure my computer, router and Archos, but now (I think) all I need is the software to stream the media to my Archos. Is this correct?

If I had Vista an Media Player 11 I think it would work, but I am not able to change from XP although I can upgrade to WMP 11 from 10, but there is little point as it does not support streaming in the XP environment. It sounds as though Asset is the solution. Will it work for me or have I got it totally wrong?

Happy to fill in gaps if I have missed anything out.

Asset will stream to upnp compatible devices (audio only though).

      Thanks Spoon.

From previous threads it looks as though the Beta version is the best place to start?

If you wait a day or two, v2 goes to full release.
